Records documenting the work of two Minneapolis hospitals, Abbott and Northwestern, which merged in 1970 to form Abbott-Northwestern Hospital.
|

|
The collection includes historical materials; Northwestern articles of incorporation, annual reports (1883-1982) (incomplete), and trustees’ correspondence (1883-1972); information about both hospitals’ nursing schools (1889-1968); and newsletters, newspaper clippings, and general correspondence (1888-1982). There are also minutes of Northwestern (1882-1920), the Abbott Hospital Committee (1925-1929), Abbott’s Janney Children’s Pavilion (1927-1932), and the Abbott medical staff.
